Save on Your Next Home Upgrade with Energy Trust of Oregon

Energy efficiency improvements such as air sealing, insulation, heating system upgrades, and new windows are among the best investments you can make in your home. These improvements not only boost home resale value but also guarantee greater comfort, efficiency, and energy savings while you live in your home. Many homeowners, however, put off making these improvements due to the upfront costs involved. Fortunately for homeowners who may be on a budget, we are partnering with Energy Trust of Oregon to make these home upgrades more affordable.

Cash Incentives for Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Energy Trust of Oregon offers a number of cash incentives to Oregon and Washington homeowners who are looking to make their homes more energy efficient:

Air sealing and insulation

Air sealing and insulation are typically the first improvements you should make for greater home comfort and efficiency.  Together, they regulate indoor temperature, control moisture, and keep pollutants out. Washington homeowners can receive a $150 cash incentive when they air seal, while homeowners in both Washington and Oregon may receive $0.25 to $0.50 per square foot of insulation when they hire a professional to insulate. Washington homeowners can also receive up to $100 in incentives for duct sealing.

Heating system upgrades

Upgrading to high efficiency heating equipment can reduce home energy consumption and lower your monthly energy bills. Incentives for heating system upgrades vary depending on the type of heating equipment installed. Oregon and Washington homeowners may receive $100 to $200 for installing a high efficiency gas furnace. Oregon homeowners may also receive $250 to $700 with air source heat pump installation or $800 with ductless heat pump installation.

New windows

New, energy efficient windows will minimize heat loss, making your home both more comfortable and more efficient. Oregon and Washington homeowners can receive $1.75 to $4 per square foot with high efficiency window installation.

Even Greater Savings through Savings Within Reach

Income-qualified households are eligible for even greater savings through the Savings Within Reach program. You could receive $550 for installing a high efficiency gas furnace, for example, or $1,000 for installing a ductless heat pump.

Low-Cost Financing Solutions

In addition to cash incentives, residents of Oregon and Washington can also take advantage of simple, low-cost financing solutions. These solutions are designed specifically for homeowners and will vary depending on the location of the home, utility providers, income level, and other factors.
